Continuous Improvement Program Manager
Prior to joining UBC, Helen was the Manager of Special Projects at School District No. 38 (Richmond), where she led multiple business process reviews, process improvement, and change management initiatives to ensure smooth operations of the Offices of the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
Leveraging her robust experiences in continuous improvement and problem-solving in public and private sector entities, in addition to her passion for driving efficiency and collaboration, Helen will play a key role in enhancing and delivering continuous improvement projects across UBC.
Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts from UBC, a Human Resources Management Certificate from BCIT, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a Master of Law from Tsinghua University, as well as certifications in Change Management, Scrum Master, and Lean Black Belt.
Outside of work, Helen enjoys spending time with her family exploring the outdoors, trying new experiences, engaging in life-long learning, and contributing to her community. She is a Board Member of the Vancouver Bach Choir, and also a foster family with VOKRA (Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association).
