Continuous Improvement Community of Practice

A Community of Practice (CoP) has been put together, by the VPFO Project Management Office (PMO), for Continuous Improvement (CI). This community is open to all UBC staff and faculty members interested in learning CI concepts, tools and application. Through strong and collaborative relationships, the CoP’s core objective is to build a community of like-minded individuals with the purpose of expanding CI knowledge and tools across campus including affiliated institutions. Together, community members will exchange ideas, lessons learned, best practices and share advice on related work.
 

Goals

The goals of the Continuous Improvement Community of Practice are as follows:

  • Work toward solutions to issues identified as priorities within the field
  • Evaluate the success of the CoP on a regular basis
  • Look for collaboration points with UBC partners
  • Develop and support CI best practices
  • Identify unrecognized pockets of related projects across UBC and share work openly
  • Encourage standards of adoption
  • Community Learning
